DRagon Movie Classics – YouTube Channel Overview
The DRagon Movie Classics YouTube channel (DragonFLIX) is dedicated to celebrating cult cinema, horror films, classic genre movies, and the world of independent filmmaking. The channel will feature a wide range of engaging shows covering film history, movie news, collectibles, filmmaking, and the culture surrounding cult and horror cinema.
Regular programming will include a Daily press-style film news show covering major stories appearing in the media related to films, streaming platforms, and the entertainment industry. Additional shows will explore topics such as physical media and rare VHS releases, film memorabilia and collectibles, cult and banned movies, classic horror legends, retro movie trailers, and the history of iconic genre studios such as VIPCO.
The channel will also introduce an exclusive weekly X-Files-style series titled “The eXtreme Files”, featuring horror and sci-fi TV stars. The series will explore unique and mysterious topics, with guest appearances from cult actors within the horror genre. Each episode will run at approximately 6 minutes, creating a fast-paced and engaging format.
In addition, a dedicated weekly show titled “The ROTLD Show” will focus exclusively on the Return of the Living Dead franchise, featuring news, views, and interviews with cast members, alongside insights into the legacy and future of the series. This will also act as a key platform to promote DRagon Movie Classics’ own franchise developments.
The channel will also focus heavily on the independent film sector, with shows dedicated to micro-budget filmmaking, behind-the-scenes insights into film production, and discussions about how low-budget films are made and financed. Interactive content such as movie quizzes and game shows will help build a strong viewer community and encourage audience participation.
By producing a regular schedule of weekly and monthly shows including Top 10 movie lists, “What Happened To?” actor profiles, and stories about films that were planned but never made — the channel will provide a mixture of entertainment, education, and film culture designed to appeal to a global audience of film fans, collectors, and independent filmmakers.
The channel will be fully monetised through YouTube’s Partner Programme, generating monthly advertising revenue as the audience grows. In addition to YouTube ad revenue, DragonFLIX will create opportunities for sponsored segments, product placements, brand partnerships, and advertising collaborations with companies operating in the film, gaming, and collectibles industries. The platform will also act as a powerful promotional outlet for DRagon Movie Classics’ own films, games, and media projects.
With consistent uploads and a focused niche around horror, cult cinema, and filmmaking, the channel is expected to build a strong and loyal audience. Starting from the current base of approximately 1,040 subscribers, the goal is to grow the channel significantly through a structured programming schedule and targeted content strategy. Based on growth patterns seen in successful film-focused channels, it is realistic to reach 10,000–50,000 subscribers within the first six months, with the longer-term objective of growing the channel to approximately 500,000 subscribers within the first year, assuming the production plan and upload schedule are consistently followed.
Over time, the channel will serve not only as an entertainment platform but also as a core marketing engine for DRagon Movie Classics, helping to build a global fan base around its productions while supporting additional revenue streams through advertising, sponsorship, and media partnerships.
