Vigilante Citizen UK
Synopsis
Victor E. Jones is a fifty-eight-year-old London taxi driver and Falklands veteran haunted by the war he never truly left behind. Divorced, isolated and suffering from PTSD, he spends his nights driving through a city he no longer recognises, watching violence, exploitation and fear become part of everyday life.
When Victor witnesses a young woman being dragged into his taxi by members of a violent criminal gang, he intervenes. After taking her to hospital, he returns to find she has been murdered to silence her forever. The killing becomes the catalyst that pushes Victor beyond the limits of the law.
As he investigates, Victor uncovers an organised network responsible for grooming, trafficking and exploiting vulnerable girls, protected by intimidation, corruption and those willing to look the other way. Convinced that justice has failed, he adopts a hidden identity and begins systematically hunting those responsible, armed only with his military training, a London taxi and a tyre iron.
While Detective Helen Moore races to understand the mysterious vigilante before more bodies fall, Victor’s campaign of vengeance brings him ever closer to the ruthless gang leader Rafiq, culminating in a brutal confrontation inside a house of horrors where the lives of innocent girls hang in the balance.
Dark, atmospheric and uncompromising, Vigilante Citizen UK is a psychological vigilante thriller in the tradition of Taxi Driver, Se7en and Dead Man’s Shoes—a portrait of a broken soldier who wages one last war against the darkness consuming the streets he once swore to protect.
